or any info on how they did it?

I've heard several reports of how... Take box out of car (important step), Throw up in air as far as you can and shoot with Shotgun (Buckshot works best). No Pic's, but just pick up your nearest F&S or Outdoor Life and look for bird hunting pics.
I took mine out and drilled a 1 1/4" hole in side (facing fender), then drilled 1 1/4" fole in inside fender wall and put in a vacume cleaner hose. This draws cooler air in from outside of engine compartment and increases flow (I left original cold air intake hose in place also). No Pic's here either but this is a bit more precise, and you don't have to worry about overkill.

Basically you just drill a bunch of wholes in the airbox.

If you have a flat filter, make sure you only expose the out-side of the filter. If you have a round filter, any spot should be ok.

thanx a lot, im going to go with drilling a bunch of holes, thanx for all the input, ill have this done by tommorow.

ill put pics in my photo gallery if anyone wants to see

yeah i read that earlier actually, thanx though, its good to know

do what I did. I took the entire airbox out with mas still bolted on and cut the bottom off with a jigsaw starting from the hole for the factory under bumper snorkel/drowner and I cut all the way around until the bottom of the airbox was just a square ring to hold in the air filter sounds good nice an' throaty but looks ugly

Yea, it will look ugly and a bit tacky. Just do it right and get KKM. You know you will eventually just do it now. :)

well thanks for all the replies, but i did drill a bunch of holes in the air box. it came out better than i thought. my intake now has a deeper tone to it, i cant really feel any power difference but overall im happy with it.

The power difference can be felt at higher rpm's. Try flooring it. You will see what I mean. ;)

yeah ill try that, when i go to work in the morning ill punch it on a back road

did you do the throttle cable mod? That one is huge!

to be truthfull i have no idea what your talking about, fill me in.

Your right about the power difference at higher rpm's. I was going to try the throttle cable mod but it's raining so hard here in Florida I can barley see my car so im not even going to atempt it today.
