"!" symbol on dash

I don't have the owner's book when I purchased my 2004 explorer. What does the "!" symbol mean when it lights up on the dash ?

I think it's the TPMS telling you a tire is either under or over inflated. I don't have them on my '03.

Yup, tire pressure light.

Is it a solid light or does it blink?

If it's solid it means your pressure is low.
Blinking is beyond me, mine does it on highway trips. I can almost time it when it's going to come on.

It may be different for an 04, but, according to my 05 Explorer Owner's Guide- pages 8 and 9, if the ! is surrounded by a tire shape, then it is the tire pressure monitoring system. If the ! is surrounded by a circle, then it is the brake system.

I have the message center on mine, and this light came on once along with a "low tire pressure" message displayed.
