symptoms of a bad balancer?

I pulled the blower off my 99 saleen cause the truck would always want to run lean. I have noticed it have a vib about 3k rpms and seems to be when under acceleration and sopmetimes stationary.Truck is a 5.0 truck too. I am pulling the crank pulley for the blower off tonight. What would be an indication that the balancer might need to be replaced? What do I need to look for. I have checked to make sure there was no play and it seemed fine

If the rubber is squeezed out, dislodged or otherwise damaged I usually say they are junk.

Nothing appears outof the ordinary on it. I am wondering if the powerdyne crank oulley is causeing an issue. After i pull that off I will put the belt back on and see if the vibe goes away

If its still whole and rounds its hard to imagine, but who knows. De-blowered, Jeez.
How many miles on the 5 litre ?

has 107k miles. Had a powerdyne on it which was a joke. truck actually seems to run better and pull harder without it on there. Never could get it to stop leaning out and since its my wifes truck i didnt see the reason to leave it on.
