Can I put synthetic fluid in my back axle with it being a open rearend if so what kind as in weight? Also what kinda fluid do i put in a 3.73 limited slip?

You can put synthetic anywhere you put conventional oil
 






What weight? And would putting gear oil with the limited slip additive hurt a open rear end? The Mobil 1 website didn't tell me the gear oil weight just the engine oil weight
 






The limited slip additive won't hurt an open diff. I use 75w90 in my rear end, I think the recommendation is 75w140, but I want better mileage.
