Do a search under "synthetics" of "fluids" there have been a few posts on this subject that might answer your questions.

Be sure to use synthetic in the differential. I also run synthetic in the power steering .

Good luck.

When chanfing trans to synthetic be sure to do a complete change, not just drain what is in the pan.

that was good thing to put aplug in the pan. al brings up a good point about the change. your tranny actaully holds like 10 quarts or more and to get ti changed out is near $75 or more. you can mix synth with regualer but i dont recomend it as you need to be consistent and it wont be a perfect mix. i run mobile 1 as well bt i recently had the tranny replaced so it has whatever the mechanic put in it.

Syth in the PS system?

Aldive, How hard was the power steering fluid change? Did you drain the whole system or just what was in the reservoir?

How about the tranny? I read the how-to on this site...is it really as hard and messy as it sounded? Do you have any hints?

For the PS, O just completely drained the reservoir and replaced with synthetic. No more noise, ever.

I would recommend going to a Jiffy Luba kinda place and have them use their machine to completely drain and replace the trans fluid.

Good luck....
