Very nice got to see it in person and it looks killer :p Sorry but im going to have to steal that cap install idea of yours. That box with latch that opens up is very cool.

hye man looks good, cool original spot for the changer. never seen it there before. does someone like kicker too much??? j/k actually its cool how u managed to stay practically all with one brand!

now all u need is tvs! :D

box looks kinda familiar :)

looks good man, like wha tyo udid with the CD changer, good use of that otherwise wasted space on the side..

btw, I dont know if you plan to compete, but uh.. for SPL.. bad idea, unless the rules have changed, if your box goes above the back of your seats, which it looks like yours does, you would be considered a "wall" installation, which would put you in competition with people with like a festiva with 3/4 of the car as a box hitting in like the 170s lol

at any rate, looks great, great street system, (the only kind for me :) )

His box doesnt go above the back of seat the amp rack is what makes it look bigger.

hey

Im not to interested in competing or anything. I dont know anything about it anways. I wouldnt mind knowing what DB i could hit though. Anyone know what I need to do or where to go? to do that?

the actual box that the subs are in is even with the backseat. Just the amp rack goes above it.

I've been wanting to moun the changer there for a while so, I figured Id do it now. The only problem is if I have any Bassy CD's it will make it skip so, I just but non-bassy stuff in the changer and I'm alrite.

Peace
Kendal

I tihnk if any part of your box goes above the back seat it counts as a wall. not sure tho..

the best place to go for an SPL metering would be a specialized car audio shop, a good one preferablly. A shop that knows what its doing will keep all the doors and windows in the vehicle closed and will hold the mic around the windsheild (for a legal reading that is) if the guy gets in the car, holds the door open with his foot, holds the mic in the middle of the truck and then tries to tell you 89.2 he doesn't know what hes doing (that happened to me.. I paid $15 for a stupid totally bogus reading cos the guy didn't know what he was doing) so thats somethign to look out for, every shop doesn' know how to meter apparently. Most should have one tho.

anywhere 130 and above is good IMO

Good Luck.....

scramblin you found out a place around here that does it you let me know. The only place that may do it cause they hold comps. is gaylord audio in fayetteville. Oh and Thumpers holds a annual sound off here in springdale every year. Too bad thats not until april 03' :( Oh and fox you are right about the height thing but he wouldnt be put in that class they are like 13+++Extreme that hit 170. He could go 1-2 street wall or no wall or 1-2 street extreme where they combine both wall and no wall. Than they have 3-4 and so on.....

hey

I dont know really know what any of that competing stuff is all about... I called Stereo One and Gaylord's in Fayetville and both of them told me that they didnt have a meter and they dont know of anyone that does.
I do have a question though. It the Meter just a SOund Meter that measures Decipels? If it is, then I sorta' have one of those. My dad owns a Safety Company in Russellville and a big part of his company is selling ear plugs and all of that stuff. Any place that had over 80 DB, its required by Osha, that the employees must wear ear protection. Anyways, My dad goes around to some of the companys with a sound meter and check the DB levels. If that is all that it is, then I have access to one. I called dad and he said next time that I'm down there I could borrow it for a week or two.

System

Nice system bro. I have the same Subs/Grills....love them!! How do you like them? Check out pics of mine, click in my signature :D

I like your set up too. I especially like that you did it yourself. One word of warning, it's a little showy and someone is likely to try and grab it. I'd make a sonically invisible black cover for all that nice equipment. Nice job though!

Just testing....

This is only a test;)

I was pointing this out to Scramblin, but the advice works for you as well. All that shiny kickin' gear out in th open is too tempting for thieves. IMO. Sonically invisible is a fancy way of saying a cloth material that doesn't affect the sound of the speakers. It's more important for mids and tweets but it can have an effect.
