I've been using the Motorcraft 5w-20 Synthitic Blend since I bought my X about a year ago. Still use the 3,000 - 90 day. I don't know how much better or not it is so far it's been great. I have just turned 60,000.

ah i see
yea with regular oil i did mine every 3,000 miles no matter what

hmmm
i figure it'll be good for my engine that is just gonna turn 120,000 miles this week
still runs like new

A synthetic blend is only about 5% (or less synthetic). There are no rules for how much synthetic has to be in a "blended" motor oil. You would be wasting your money.

With 120,000 miles, you may want to consider one of the newer "high mileage vehicle" motor oil (i.e. Valvoline MaxLife). Several on the board have reported very favorable results.

Since Sunthetic Blend has so little synthetic in it, I would not recommend using it. However, if one uses it, I would suggest changing at the same intervals as conventional oil.
