Does anyone on here have a T-5 in there Explorer?? I found out that James Duff makes a adapter kit to fit the T-5 to the transfer case and engine. How reliable are these transmissions? I know they put them in Mustangs with V8's in them. I've heard they don't hold up well in them though. Would it hold up behind the 4.0's tourque? Is the T-5 stronger than the manual that is offered in the Explorer? Any input would be appreciated.

I've been waiting for a T-5 conversion kit. I believe that it should hold up well behind the V-6 since the torque output is lower. I also think that there is more aftermarket support for the T-5 and it can be built into a very relaible tranny where the Mazda transmission has no upgrades available.
