I think I have located the source of my transmission fluid leak, the t-case to adapter bolts were loose, allowing fluid to seep out past the gasket.
I swapped in a manual shift t-case about 3 years ago, and at that time thought I had torqued them correctly, however I cannot locate my Chilton manual to confirm again. Perhaps I should be using threadlocker, but I don't recall seeing any on the bolts when I pulled them originally?
Also, I can't get the 13 mm socket or even a 12 pt wrench on the top bolt, can I drop the crossmember a bit to ease access? I got the other 4 bolt sucked up - there are 5, correct?
IIRC I had to go in through the tranny tunnel last time, a real PITA. How much can I drop it without damaging linkages or anything up in the engine bay?
TIA
