I'm trying to assemble my bottom end, but the CD manual I got off eBay (per the suggestion on this forum) doesn't install properly. I searched all over this forum and Google, but I can't find these specs anywhere. I gotta get this back together.

Does anyone know the torque specs for the rod and main bolts for the 4.0 SOHC?

TIA

...I believe these specs could be found in a haynes manual that you can get at most auto parts stores...It may be worth a look...

Just checked my Haynes manual and they aren't listed. Everything but the crankshaft and connecting rod torques....

YES!! That looks like what I need!

(I had been looking at my local parts stores for a manual, Haynes or other, to no avail, they never had Explorer, or even Ranger, etc, that covered my year, or my engine, which is what prompted me to go to eBay for manual on CD)

...Cool......I know we have better info on E.F. somewhere, but I do not normally search for the SOHC...Good luck with the build...:D

Btw, we have a book store to find those elusive books...;)
