Ok i searched for a thread on this, but i foound nothin.

I need to figure out approxmatly how much it would cost to complete a t5 conversion for a 1st gen explorer. what all would i need. I would appreciate a parts list and prices maybe? I justy had my tranny go out and it wasnt even hard on it really, i want somthing that wont bust when you barly goose it :) Thanks guys.

Your going to a T5 for strength??
 






Kinda yeah. I want somthing that can take at least a small beating, i didnt even hardly touch the gas when this what ever it is tranny broke, Its just went "SNAP CLUNK, GRIND"
 






Well I guess it depends on what your going to do with it I guess. I had a t5 in my mustang for years and I could hurt it, but it finally gave up. :) Not sure how much you want to spend but you can get "beefed" up t5's.
 






The only thing I gotta say, is make sure you get a T-5 WC World class version. They were behind the V-8's and are stronger. There was a standard T-5 behind either 4 or 6cylinder stangs I believe, weren't as strong, and I don't think they will work for the swap
