A few weeks ago I posted about a Transmission problem I thought I was having. What it was doing was showing to high of RPM's when running down the road. It would show 3000 RPM's at 70 vs 2000 RPM's. It does this from time to time. This weekend while on a road trip I noticed it running strange for about 100 miles then as I was looking at the tack it dropped down a thousand RPM's. I noticed no difference in the sound of the engine or the way it run. Then yesterday coming home it was running right then all at once it jumped up to 3000 then in few miles it dropped back down . I asked my wife if she noticed any difference in the engine sound we both said no. I am good with noticeing engine sounds as I run a lot of equipment. Is there a tach sensor on this truck or is it part of the main computer?
