tach wire?

i keep hearing about this tan/yellow tach wire under the dash. my question is if i wire in my afet market tach into that wire, will that be a sufficient signal to run it. also does anyone know where i can tap in to fin the ignition switch wire and dash lights? im being a pain i know but i appreciate the help

i usually grab the tach wire right at the coil pack 4 installing remote starters (my job) tan/yellow wire usually, sometimes depending on skills its easier to grab the acc wire instead of ign at the radio, as well as the illumination wire...good luck
