Ok heres the story, in a shortened version, I was loading a dolly into the back of our 1999 explorer and I clipped the taillight. Put a hole about the size of a 50cent piece in it, damn those tail light guards would have helped now. Anyways, I was wondering where would be the best place to get a new (just drivers side) tail light assembly. I know that I can go to the ford dealer and they would probably charge a lot, just wondering if anyone knew where I can get a new drivers side for as little $ as possible. I was thinking that this would be the perfect excuse to swap out my stockers for euros, but realized that I dont really want them too much.

Thanks for any help,
Andrew

Try eBay, they always have auctions for single tail lights. You should be able to pick one up for around $30-40.

If no luck there, try MrTailLight.com, they also have very good prices.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, found one on e-bay for $50 but it has $12 s&h, so Im going to go up to ford tomorrow and see how much they want. Would install be similar to that of a 02 sport trac, removing the bolt, pulling it out putting in the lamps and putting it back together?

try emailing torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com Without a doubt he'll be cheaper than the dealer and he usually charges a flat $7 shipping fee.
