Tail Light Assembly

Does anyone know for a fact (not a guess, please) whether the 2002-2005 Explorer assemblies will physically fit on the 2006-2010 Explorer? From the various pictures and exploded parts views, it appears to be a match. I'm not worried about electrical connections, just whether I can use an aftermarket assembly from the previous gen.

they will fit, just the gen 4 have an extra bulb in the tail lights. that the 3rd gen do not have wires for
