Tail light swap?

Currently trying to swap out my un-smoked 2011 limited tail lights with a smoked sport pair of tail lights. Got the whole assembly out... but the electrical part goes pretty much into the bumper... I can pull the electrical part out but the connection is in the car and I cannot reach it. Anyone know how to do this? Any help is appreciated.

The tint films are generally well made and no electrical work needed...

I tried those but they look kind of tacky in my opinion + I already have the pair of sport tail lights. Just might take the car to a shop and pay them to do it.

Just talked to a mechanic about it --- Its a big job switching out the tail light - Alot of inside paneling has to come out in order to reach the inside where the wiring is.
