i tried, only a 5lb one though, im trying to keep the old shocks, considereing how they surprised me of how far they can push in and out. so other then that?

were should i hit it?lol

I agree with jimabena, BFH and prybar. I also found that lots of cursing and swearing helps too

Don't want to sound like an idiot but what is BFH?

Don't for get lots of penitrating oil (WD-40, Rust Eater, Liquid Wrench). Then use the BFH.

I think it is a penetrating oil first and acts like a lubricant for a short time. I guess until it dries up.

I just removed my rear shocks yesterday. First I soaked the bottom bolts with PB Blaster (a rust penetrant) a couple of times. Then broke loose the nut with a BFBB (big f'in breaker bar) and then once the nut was off, I used a punch and BFH to knock the bolt out of the hole, worked great except my punch almost got stuck in the hole, that was close one..hehe

yeah it seems the bolts stuck to the rubber or whatever on the shock

AIR TOOLS!

Like i said, you can just punch the bottom bolts out with a punch and hammer, it's easy.

Heat baby

I sueda propane torch set to "scorch" for about 10minutes per side and then a BFH......

The heat seemed to do the trick...

I added a coating of antiseize when I reinstalled....
