i was wondering what would happen if i took of the catalitic converter. How many are they and would it mess up the computer? the reason i ask is that the one i have now is creating too much back pressure. i took it to a mechanic and this is what he came up with. i live in alabama so emissions arnt a prob. I was also thinking of replacing the muffler may be a flowmaster 50

Please get a high-flow cat instead of taking the one you have out. Emissions may not be itested in Alabama, but they are a problem for the whole world.

I agree. Replace the 2 inline cats you have now with a high flow unit. This will ensure your truck will run well and also that we have clean air to breathe.

wont the high flow cats mess with the computer

No. Not having cats at all will mess with the computer.

Not having them at all is also against the law......

please keep some sort of cat on, i like breathing some what clean air. ;)

Yes, let's think about the environment, and the environmental impact people.
