I have an '01 XLT - Where exactly is the thermometer located? There seems to be a wide range of temps that register while I'm driving...like a 10 degree difference. I didnt know if it has anything to do with wind speeds or whatever while I'm driving. I guess what I'm asking is, where do they take the temperature from and how do I know when/if its accurate? - I tried a search, but it didnt help me much.

The temp sensor is right behind the front bumper , somewhere close to where the bumper bolts to the driverside frame rail. It's a funny lookin cap that the wires plug into. As for your temp. acting funny, make sure it's set in the right magnetic zone. You can find that info in your owner's manual

Welcome!!
