Hello,

I have a sport trac '01 with a blend door actuator that only responds when the engine is cold. Once the engine warms up the actuator does not respond, it just goes straight to cold! If i unplug it when the engine is cold it stays on warm... Anyone know what my problem is?! It's 25 degrees here now, please help...

my vehicle is not equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC). If that helps anyone.

Does anyone know how the temperature knob works and sends a signal to the actuator? Where is the sending unit? Is the knob/switch the sending unit itself? Help!?

And why would it only function properly while the engine is cold? If it's not ATC then why would it change???
