So i found a good deal on some terra grapplers but have never used nitto off road tires. I have had great luck with some of the street tires on my RX-7 but they wore very quickly. Anyone use this tire in the past? Need some input before i buy. BTW the size is 265/75/16 and my buddy mesaured them at 31.9 inches with a price of 128 bucks a peice.

I'm running 285/75/16 Terra Grapplers on my '01 Sport. They are great in the snow, but squirrely on dry pavement which forces me to corner alot slower than I'm used to. I had 265/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/Ts previously that handled MUCH better on wet, icy, and dry pavement, but wore out kind of quickly with my (very) aggressive driving. Had to rotate them every oil change because the fronts always had more noticable wear.

These Nittos are taller and wider, so the comparison isn't 100% fair. Some degraded handling was expected due to the tire size increase on the stock wheels, but I'm actually pretty disappointed with the dry pavement traction. I can do dry pavement 2wd donuts and straight line burnouts no problem. I couldn't get the Revos to spin even when brake torquing. In the rain, I could floor it off the line and not worry about the Revos spinning.

I'm undecided if I'd buy the Terra Grapplers again. They have a nice aggressive look, and with normal driving they work fine. They just don't like to be pushed hard....but that is something I really need to take down a notch or two anyway.
