Ok, I start my X early in the morning and let it warm up because it's old and I think it's best, so I did this morning. About 15 minutes I go out to put some stuff in it and I hear it's running rough, real rough. I smell the smell I hate so much, like it's not burning the fuel. I give it some gas and it rev's up but as soon as I get off the gas she dies. I start up and it turns over right away. I drive it around the block and about 5 miles to a shop and the whole way there I can mat the gas pedal and nothing. The engine revs slowly but just stumbles and crawls at about 25mph. I make it there but she is starting to clear up and run better. I shut it down; 10 minutes later the mechanic is out with a diagnostic machine and no codes. He starts it up and it runs like normal. A few minutes later no codes. 184,000 miles, routine maintenance; never have changed the O2 sensors or any other major parts. Have changed MAF sensor, not many mod's. It has done this before, once. That morning was a rainy morning like this morning. Is it possible condesation is building up over night or that moisture is getting into my fuel lines somehow? Any information will be appreciated.
