I want to thank everyone that has posted repairs on here. Im going to put my 02 explorer XLT up for sale. It had a few problems and I found the answers I needed on here. The rear coils were both broke causing a rubbing sound. Bought new Monroe's from shocksandstruts.com for 90 bucks each and free shipping. 4wd drive wouldnt engage. Removed transfer case motor and bench tested. It checked good. Bought 4wd control module at ford dealer. Used my govt discount and got it for 190 bucks. 4wd working now. Odometer not showing up on display. Removed cluster and resoldered resistors. Odometer ok. Abs light is intermittent. I'm going to replace rear speed sensor because cruise works. So thanks to all that have helped me figure out what to look at to repair these problems. Almost don't want to sell it, but I need to sell it so I can use the cash to put a new roof on the house.
