Just wanted to send a thanks out to Glacier and all the others that post information to this forum.

I recently was told that it would cost $1400 to fix my A/C, which I really found shocking. So I started searching forums and found some really good information here.

I bought a set of gages, vacuum pump, compressor, dryer, orifice tube. Then I followed the information here and now have my A/C blowing really cold, even yesterday when it was 97 deg out. My passengers wanted it turned down!

So THANK YOU! I save a ton of money and can now keep my A/C going in both my cars.

Good reason to join the forum and help support us to help others. It will be the best $20 you ever invested! (Mind you we help anyone whether they choose to join or not... it's just nice when we succeed and they want to help us continue to help others.)

What I like about this is that you can change your entire system and buy a minimum set of specialty tools for less than what these guys charge. And when you're done you have more tools and sufficient knowledge to do your girlfriend's parent's car.
