i also have a question pretaining to exhaust.....
how many of you have true-dual exhaust mounted- just from a quick glance, it seems to me like there is little room for a true-dual system, but then again i dont know too much about the routing for those things.....

My suggestions:

A know a few people with Explorers where I live that have them, one of my good friends has two 40 series "non-delta's" Flowmasters with a 3" pipe running from each muffler. It sounds very badass, extremely deep and extremely aggressive....as close to sounding like a 5.0 Stang as you'll get. If you want true duals you can't lay the mufflers side by side (horizontally). You have to have them welded in vertically, so instead of being like this.... - - ......they'll look like this..... | | ......do a search for RTstork as he has pics in his sig of his true dual system running 40 series also. If I stand behind my friends truck when it's idling my whole chest and body just vibrates, you can feel how deep it is...forget about how it sounds when he floors it, it's sick.

Now that reason begins to play a role in my thoughts, i realize that, other than bragging rights, there isnt any real reason to go with true duals (for me personally)- just not enough power/mods to justify 2 mufflers and the custom work involved
Im sure it would sound pretty mean though....:D

depends on if you have the 5.0 or not, the ohv would most likely see no difference at all. The 5.0 expels a lot more exhaust gases faster. With the 5.0's you'll get a more aggressive and much deeper sound and a little more power with true duals. Compared to an 5.0 Explorer running a single out 40 series the true dual system is more aggressive and louder and definitley sounds better as it's basically almost like a 5.0 Mustang running the 2 chambers also.
