So why are you doing the d44 swap? hungry for harder trails or did something go wrong with the ifs?

Once you take a vehicle with some decent travel and solid axle front and rear offroad (ie the jeep I bought my gf) you will dream about doing an SAS until its done.


Haven't done much to the explorer, have been playin with the jeep too much (regeared front and rear with 4.88's and detroit in the rear, front and rear bumpers and spyder rock sliders).

The front axle is about done, but I want to sell my car before I bring my truck in for a month or two. Anyone want to buy a Z? black, 6 spd, nav...

Will update again when the plasma cutting begins.

By the way to the person contemplation buying a plasma cutter. It comes in handy every time I'm in the garage. Basically if start to use a sawzaw, than decide to use a cut off wheel, I just grab the plasma cutter and can be done in 1/16 the time.

Alright no new pics yet, but the X is in the garage and I am finishing the rear (new springs) not going 1/4 ellipticall just because I think I will eventually get a 14 bolt for this truck and put this 8.8 in the jeep.

Will post up pics of custom anti wrap bar and longer shackles, once done just have to finish the rear bumper and should be able to move to the front where the real action will be.


Things should pick up I sold my car so the whole garage is for the explorer. Problem is I traded it for a Discovery and now am modding it.

Alright IFS started coming out tonight, one worry right now is my high steer setup hitting my frame rails when I'm stuffed, anyone want to key in?
