After installing my new low profile, high clearance, rear bumper, I needed a way to mount my license plate. I cruised around for a couple weeks with ty-wire holding it on till I rounded up the parts. I went to the junkyard and got a fold-down rear plate hinge/holder off a 80something Camaro for $3.00, and a building strap at Home Depot for $3.00, a couple bolts, and came up with this!

And here's the beauty of it! When I wheel, it won't get mangled or torn off.

That looks good. If you had wanted to stay Ford you could have gotten one off an EB and put it on your tailgate. Does it flip up so it doesn't get damaged on the trail?

trator :), nah nice job

Now all you need to do is attach a electric motor to it so you can raise and lower it w/o having to get out of the vehicle! :D

hmmmmmmmmmmm, with just the right pivot point, a cheap power lock motor would prolly do the trick.:bounce:

I thought that too, as soon as I put it on! Although I envisioned some type of pull cable. I'm not as visionary as mrboyle!
