solution found... run front speakers off of the head unit... to heck with the amp expcept... only use it on the sub... what a waste. ive gone through everything... tried ground loop isolator (helped but no cigar) and talked to an experienced tech who says more than likely it is just the fosgate amp being noisy. disappointing to be sure because i grew up with fosgate and they kicked butt... guess all good things have to come to an end.

on to converting r12 to 134a...

could just get a ground isolator for like 12 bucks from walmart

What about an Antenna Stereo Noise Filter ?
Would that do anything in this case?

bought the ground loop isolator and it did help but i am looking for the solution not the bandaid.

Try placing a capacitor across the power inputs to the amp. Make sure you check polarity or it will blow up in your face. A 4700mfd 35v one may do the trick. You can get those at radio shack. I had a small noise in my wife's car and that did the trick. No Noise and good sound. Just something to try.
