what gm needs to do is pretty much shrink the body of the real hummer
Thats basically what they did.
put lesser quality stuff but still like the best
You can't have lesser quality materials but still "like the best" if you want a high quality vehicle, you have to pay for it. I've sat in the H2 though, and its typical GM cheap plastic inside anyways.
and cheaper interior and id buy the H4 off of them
I assume you mean the H2. Why would they want a cheaper interior? Its supposed to be an upscale vehicle, except with a rugged side that something like an Escalade doesn't have. The H1 costs upwards of $80,000 and I hear nobody slam it for being too expensive. Again, it seems to me like they sell plenty like they are, why would they change them so that it fits the bill of what the minority wants?
I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm just trying to make you understand that there is a craft and a business behind these vehicles, and you certainly can't say that GM did anything wrong, or that they made the vehicle improperly, because they sell like nobody's business. The H1 and the H2 are marketed as "serious offroading machines with a unique style and class", I think both of these vehicles, as well as the new H3, fit that bill. They are very competent offroad, and they have a unique type of class and style for someone who doesn't want a Navigator, Escalade or Lexus GX or LX. I think the vehicle is one of the best marketing moves I've seen in the industry in quite some time. Its purely giving the customer what they want, and not what they don't.
If people will buy it, they'll make it. If people will buy it, and you don't make it, someone else will and they'll buy it from them. Thats business.
