That movie is great. A DVD must-buy for car lovers. I mean, damn, just about every hot car ever made was in that movie and don't get me started on Eleanor. Now that was a pretty lady.;)

Definately, a must... I'd love to have Eleanor.

H2's are for soocer moms with too much money, if you wants a real Hummer, get a H1, better yet, get a military surplus Humvee, (bomb proof undercarriage) their on ebay too.

Kinda like comparing a explorer, expedition and a escalade.

It needs a diesel!

One hell of a 4X4

first humvee I ever seen like this

If you're gonna go that big on an H2, get portal axles. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense in terms of added clearance.

Don't the H2's come w/ portal IFS axles? Or is that just the "Hummers"?

H2s don't have portals, and H1s just have a high clearance IFS/IRS design, I don't think they're portals.

Petersons 4-Wheel and Off-Road wrote an article on the portal axles just this month.

It said that "The biggest argument against portals is that there are nearly no American manufacturers who ever made or iinstalled them in their vehicles. (Hummers don't count because they use portal IFS and, well, you can't easily swap that into your Jeep or pickup)." (page 77 of March issue)

I'm thinkin they just mean the H1's. Not H2's. But i don't know.

yeah, the h2 has almost the exact same front end as a chevy 2500 HD, and the rear axle is the same as the HD. they share a bunch of parts with the HD actually, except fopr the availibility of a diesel. oh yeah, and whiplash engineering is the company that makes the 12 inch lift for the H2, if anyone was even remotley interested.

Sign me up for that Military surplus Hummer with the trax. Who wants to go with me to Alaska?

I dont like it, an H@ is a modified Tahoe, and those tires along with the added height, makes a barely stable at stock hieght truck into a truck than could fall over in the wind......

2004 Hummer H3 - Not sure how I like it yet...

well, I was cruisin around and found this... thought yall might want to comment. My jury is till out on it, and I will wait to see an actual image, not a drawing before final judgemnt. Yes I know its not a true HUMMER, but I always said Iwould own one by age 34, regardless of year make, so this may be the answer lol...

HUMMER H3

Hummer H3 For 2004

No, you haven’t seen this model before. This truck is an all-new vehicle that GM is getting ready for 2003 production as a 2004 model. Call it the "li’l Hummer," as it will be the smallest of a planned lineup of three SUVs refined for civilian use. They’re all vaguely based on the design of the rugged HUMVEE military vehicle.

How small are we talking? Think Chevy S10 pickup truck small. That chassis, with four-wheel drive, will form the basic structure. Under the hood, this Hummer will most likely offer the new 260-hp 4.2-liter inline Six that‘s standard in the 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer/GMC Envoy/Olds Bravada. Or, GM may assign a new lower-power five-cylinder variant of that Six to the H3.

Note that the S10 chassis is a separate frame-and-body design, just the ticket for the tough assignments an ultimate SUV is expected to perform. Off-road will be where it shines. And heavy-duty trailer towing will be listed near the top of its resume capabilities.

For all the macho cues of its exterior appearance—no-frills grille, erect windscreen, external oil coolers, billet-like fender flares, bolt-on spare tire—the future Hummer will offer a highly civilized interior. Don’t look for the wide console down the middle of the floorpan that restricts seating, a la the HUMVEE. Instead, the passenger layout will be two-across/three-across seating with little intrusion from the driveline.

Up front, the instrument panel will be similar to the Chevy S10, and may even feature voice-activated communications systems, in case you get lost in the bush and have to call for help. Safety will be on a par with the pickup truck. Expect side-impact airbags and, possibly, side curtain airbags for protection during a rollover.

About the body shape, check this out. Those billet-like fender flares appear removable, just the ticket for prowling those narrow trails deep in the woods. The short cargo box can be lengthened—almost doubled—by removing a partition behind the rear seats and folding the seats down into the floor. Or, for the ultimate wind-in-your-hair ride, it appears that the entire roof can be removed.

That is probably based on the Trailblazer/Colorado, not S10 (as the S10 is going out of production). I don't think that I like that very much either.

Stupid ugly.

It just keeps getting worse. I'd have to say even worse than the Aztek.

terrible, oh soo terrible. since when did hummer use cladding ?

Doesn't GM make a stupid truck with plastic sides? I think they call it the Avalanch? Why do they need two ugly trucks? Oops Caddy, Three ugly trucks. Looks like they are going for a record of who can make the most ugly trucks.

That just disgraces the hummer name plate even more. The H2 was made with 80% of it's parts straight off the gm parts shelfs. By the sounds of it the H3 is going to be something around 90%! Sorry guys I don't like the H2, and I already don't the H3!
