Sense I know this is a common Problem in the 4x4 95+ Explorers and Rangers, I thought I would make everyones life easier.

So the big question is what is that noise that you keep hearing in the front between 10-40mph?

Well it's called the "Excruder Seal" and they sre dust covers where the CV attaches to the Hub. These seem to ware out alot. I have had ford replace mine at 95k and now 40k later they are making noise again. I have not replased them myself so I don't know how, but they can't be to difficult.

The Part # from Ford is YZ2Z-3K070-AA. They're about $20 bucks each. Ford charged $284 labor to install them.

Hope this helps some of you. ;)
