there goes reverse

I'm starting to lose reverse. The reverse syncro is going south and I lookin' at some options, should I look for a scrap yard replacement or rebuild mine? I figure if I’m going to get this deep in it I will also replace the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing as well. Anyone know what year transmissions will interchange I'm sure Mazda's 5 Spd of the same years will work if I can find a low mileage one I'll go that way. Anyone know where I can find an exploded view of the inside of this transmission? I might just replace the reverse syncro in it. I need to weigh the cost vs. the down time I'm gonna have. Has anyone changed the syncro before? What should I expect? Any special tools? Thanks for any help.
