I have a 2001 4.0 6 cyl Sport Trac. It needs a new thermostat and housing. It seems this model has 2 thermostats in the housing and Ford wants over $500 for it. I was told this repair can be made with a modification with parts from Napa or Autozone for a little over $100. Does anybody know about this and what needs to be done?
