Thermostat question

Hello everyone I am new to this forum and am a new explorer owner. I want to say hello and ask a hopefully simple question. I live in Germany and just got a '96 Sport from my dad that I got shipped over here (and let me tell you that wasn't cheap!!!) It came from Ariz. and has the higher capacity cooling system?? My question is, what temperature thermostat is in it stock? Since the temperature has dropped in the last couple of weeks my guage barely gets off of C, and then not all the way to the first line. Thinking it is either stuck open, or I need a higher temp thermostat. Any ideas?

Any idea why it is running so cold then?

Sounds like it's stuck open. That happened to mine. I replaced it and it fixed the problem. Real easy to replace too.

Thanks guys! I will probably just have my mechanic do it (no time) along with a radiator flush. Thanks again
