Well, last weekend I changed the thermostat housing, It cracked and the coolant was empty. As I saw the temperature raised to the top, I parked inmediatly and call for a tow.

When I stoped and open the hood I realize the problem, the termostat housing was broken. As I feel a lot of heat coming from motor, I feared the worst, but I changed the thermostat housing and everything looks fine now, it still running like a champ.

I am planning to change the spark plugs by this weekend, and I will perform also a pressure check on the cylinders just to confirm that everything is ok.

What else do you recomend me to include in the revision after this heated condition to confirm that every thing still ok?

I am really worry about confirm that everything be ok on my truck

Thanks.

If there are no signs of problems you may not need to do anything, but I think I'd change the oil if it had stayed hot for long.

oil change

yes, I will add to my "to do" list.

Thanks, everything looks fine for now.

compression readings

Finally, I change my spark plugs this past weekend, also I confirmed pressure.

what do you think about these readings?

In some thread I read that the maximum difference should be less than 75 psi, so I think I should have no problems, but I also have read some people from the forum is getting readings around 160, so I would like to have some feedback about my readings.

Those readings are relative to the battery voltage too. A better battery will spin the engine faster, creating higher pressure readings.
That's why the absolute pressure is not relevant, but the differences between cylinders are.
