Think I Got What I Need For My 95 Explorer To Be Lifted

So is it even possible just to get the front end of the lift. I mean it is kind of lame they make you use the leafs provided for the rear when you could just do a SOA... I just want the front end of the lift.

The 9633 and 9637 are just the parts for the front, have nothing to do with the back at all. Like I said the superlift guy said the 9637 is the steering knuckles, which is needed, unless you're pretty insane at fabbing or something, and the 9633 is everything else that the front needs, shocks, drop downs, blah blah blah.

Dunno if this answered or even had anything to do with what you asked, but your post confused me, as to I thought i had clarified the post previous, heh.

That is incredibly disappointing. :(

I still can't figure out why they are made as two kits though.

Those part #'s are apparently for the Sport Trac. I called 4-wheel parts Denver and they said I need those part #'s and can buy pearches and then have my driveshaft extended.

I knew this allready.

9637 = $420
9633 = $782
Ext. current drive shaft = ~$150

So about $1352 total.

Guess it's better than $1703 for the "kit" w/ leafs.

Total Savings = $351

This may not be FACT so dont take my word for it.

Well wherever the place that you called is cheaper than that Lousville place and cheaper than the shops around here what's the number for that place?

Nevermind I got the number and called em, and they gave me the same pricing as you put, I'm gonna keep calling as many places as I can get my hands on this afternoon to see what the cheapest I can find is, and I'll post what I find.

BTW they didn't say what the parts were for, the 9633 and 9637, but I'm positive it'll still fit my 95

I would buy the kit, for another $350 you get the rear leafs...mine as well get it over with....

I'll post my selling price for the front end kits tomorrow.

I didn't end up needing the front driveshaft.

Also, I may be selling my kit soon for dirt cheap. =)

Yup. Then you have everything minus the driveshaft. No farting around with rear shocks or modding the whole arse end to work with the pearches.

L-8

PS Who's got 2 Large to "Donate" for my lift...heh heh

I'm not going to get a chance to call today, but I will be at my buddy's shop tomorrow. I'll talk to him about it then.

Yomie...I'd love to help, but right now I don't have the time! How soon did you want to install it?

Oh man, i'm talking about winter time, Dec-Jan-Feb prolly. How ya been man? its been a while!

You wouldn't still happen to still have thoes stock leafs from the old eddie bauer would ya?

Just to clarify since this thread is full of wrong info and some right.

The Superlift kit for the front is two boxes. One is the knuckles the other is all the little crap and four shocks. I haven't found a way to get it without the 4 shocks. The cheapest place I found it was from 4 wheel parts in Tennessee. They give a 10% discount to members of this board and the ranger board. If you are seriously considering this kit, read my writeup so that you know exactly what you are getting into, and what other stuff you will need.

as far as i understood, i thought the entire lift including shocks and rear springs was $1400 at most places. is that a driveshaft extension for $150 or is that to get it lengthened by a shop?

that is lengthened. But you are right you should be able to get the rear leaves with it for around $1400 total.

whats the shipping go for?

for just the front a little more than $100

I talked to my friend today. His name is Max. He owns the joint.

I asked about the kit without the front driveshaft. I think it comes with rear leafs as well, but I am not sure.

He says he could do the entire thing for $1600. I know it's not much cheaper than anywhere else, but he's not going to be making much off of them either.
