Okay so my truck is a 98 explorer sport 6 cylinder. It doesn't start sometimes. When it doesn't start the engine is flooded so I have to pull the fuel pump relay crank it till it starts then put the relay back in and it starts up. At idle it sounds like it has a miss at all times weather in gear or not. Driving around 30mph I can really feel it sputtering and struggle. I think its a FPR but maybe I'm missing something. My check engine light is on but for a o2 sensor. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Find the fpr and pull the vacuum line off of it. it you pull it off qnd there is fuel in it it is bad. If there is no fuel in it try driving it with the vacuum line off and see if there is a difference.

Okay I unplugged the vacuum line from it and it has a smell of gas to it but its not wet. Also It did not seem to run any different when being unplugged. I tested the vacuum and I do have vacuum.

If you smelled gas then I'm fairly sure it is bad.

Okay now I have another problem no one makes an aftermarket for a sohc motor and ford said they are no longer available in so frustrated right now.
