Im putting in a

Panasonic CQ-C1300U mp3 player with 2 rca outputs and a sub out.

I want to run a active crossover(TBD) to send the mids and highs to a Sony 40 x 4 amp

Going to to MB Quart 5.25 components in the front door and 6x8's(TBD) in the rear.

I'm gonna keep the stock sub but eventually put in a second amp and new sub. I'm probably gonna use Crutchfield for the HU since it comes with the harness and tech support.

Any suggestions on the crossover or 6 x 8's or anything else would be appreciated.

i would avoid the sony amp for sure.

also, those components are awesome- but do you know which set your gonna use for sure at this point?

anyways, its hard to assess what would be best over posts like this. If you want to chat i'm on aim at svt exploder

otherwise, try to give as much info as you can about what you listen to, how much $ you can spend etc.

Im using the Sony Amp just because I have it laying around from my first car.

The components are MB Quart RSC213

that sounds good then-

i know that there are some mbquart 6 by 8s that i found for about 120 that would work great for the rears.

are you going to be running a sub? why do you really need a x-ver?

yeah i will very soon if not right away replace the stock sub and amp so i figured just send the mid and highs to the four speakers and filter out the lows for the passive inside of the radio and through to the sub

come to think of it i wont even need the xover because the mb quarts come with one. i could just get a bass blocker for there rears. thanks for making me think.

No, you will still need a xover unless you plant to run the fronts at full range.
The passive xover that comes with components only splits up the signal to the tweet and the midrange. It does not serve as a low pass filter. Id reccomend using A) A HU with an active Xover
or
B) Some external active xover.

i'm pretty sure (without looking it up) that hu has a crossover built in

Then he is set.
