I have a massive coolant leak on the side of my block, I think it is coming out of where a freeze plug should be. Tell me what you guys think this is.

That picture shows the hole very faintly from where the leak is coming from. The picture is taken from the driver's side, about the middle of the engine bay, pointing directly at the side of the engine.

This one is taken from the same position, but closer to the firewall. You can actually see the steering shaft right in the middle of the picture if that helps. This is showing the orange stain it has left from leaking out of the block on to other parts within the engine bay.

What do you guys think?

can you get a shot from inside the fender well? its hard to tell what is going on here.

Sure, I'll get one asap.

I don't see a freeze plug. Does water pour out when you put it in?

Okay, update: What happened is that i mixed the stock coolant with the wring kind which made a very corrosive mixture. This has sprung a leak on the freeze plug and also screwed up my cooling system pretty bad. Now I have noticed smoke coming out of the tailpipe and it isn't cold where i live right now. My question is, Does the smoke tell me I have bigger problems on my hand? I will probably be taking her to a professional very soon. I don't want to screw things up more than I already have.

What color smoke?

It's a white smoke. It isn't really thick, maybe as thick as when you just start your truck in winter, but like I said, it isn't cold where I am right now, which makes me nervous.

Well, if the "corrosive mixture" will eat a freeze plug, it will eat a head gasket.
Was it me, I'd flush that crap out post haste, and flush some more.
If it's not going to freeze again where you live, water is better than having acid in your block.

What exactly did you mix to make this stuff?

Not even sure, just noticed it was low one day, stopped at the gas station and grabbed some coolant to top it off and then all this started happening. Hind sight is always 20/20 I'll be researching before making that choice again.

Topping off with a diff anti freeze isn't going to cause and acid that eats your engine.

My guess is it got hot and that's how you noticed you were low, and your head gasket needs replacing. Am I close?

Actually it never got hot, but my heat wasnt working for a while there and then i filled up the coolant and it started working again. Then, several weeks later i noticed that the block was leaking an orange fluid, the fluid was coolant and when i drained her it came out orange, goopy, and very pungent in smell.

Today I smelled my exhaust and it definitely smells like burning coolant, then on top of that there are a lot of bubbles coming up into the coolant resevoir. Most definitely a bad head gasket. Here we go, I'll be replacing a head gasket on my own. There is no way I am paying for someone to do that. I don't have $1500 delegated to this. I have enough in savings to do this but I think it will be good experience for me anyway.

Make sure you get a book for torque specs and sequences and timing if its dohc
