Well buddies I guess this is the end for me or not.
I have traded my 97' expl. for a 03 Maxima and though my explorer kept me safe from accidents because you all know that you can't hit corners pretty fast and you have to drive a little more cautious than reg. cars, I will miss it, but since my maxima goes pretty fast the wind hitting my face will dry my tears :D . Any ways to get back to my ? I sold my explorer to my cousin and I had a 300x4 amp which I hook it up to the stock radio. nothing fancy, power source from battery to amp, since the stock radio didn't have rca's had to use the hi-pass. I tried to put everything back and now the orig. amp was not getting power, I check and everything was connected like it was and after trying to figure out if there's a fuse to the amp I couldn't find it, I found one fuse from the fuse box and was blown so i replace it but no power to amp. Well I end up using a power source from the middle console the wasn't used and ran a 2 foot wire from the middle console to the left side panel were i found the power source to the amp and bypass it.
I guess to make a story short I wanted to know if any body knows if there's a fuse for the stock amp, and where to find it. :redexp:
one thing for sure if I don't return I'll tell my cousin to come here for answers.

I always thought all amps, no matter what it is (stock, aftermarket), had fuses. Maybe inside but I'm sure there is one.

fosgate amps don't have on board fuses i believe the rely on you fusing it outside of the amp
