So the other day my boss rented the software from ford to flash a ficm for an 05 excursion and figured since the subscription was for three days why not use it. He offered to check my 02 4.6 Mountaineer for updates and half way through flashing the pcm is just said error and wiped out my whole pcm. Truck would not start afterwards. Looked up a mobile programming guy online and found one that guaranteed he could bring my pcm back from the dead. He came and did his magic and low and behold got the pcm back and truck running. The issue is that he is trying to tell me that my key pad on the drivers door must be aftermarket because the five digit code for the security module was blank. I assured him that it worked 100% that morning and he told me thats odd. I even pulled the trim off the right rear wuarter panel and gave him the number off the module but he said he could not manually enter a number. I tried using the factory number on the key pad with no positive result. After so many entries all the lights just flash. I am however able to program key fobs to the truck with out issue. Any ideas on how I can fix this driver door keypad issue? I really like that function.
