Sounds kinda like a contradiction there... you want 2-12's and an amp that's good, all for 300 bucks? Unless you strike some incredible deal on used products, I don't say it's possible... www.sounddomain.com has a few 12's that run about 100 bucks each if 2 4 ohm subs were bridged and gave the amp a 2ohm load, you could run a D series sub amp, which generally have more distortion, and running them at 2ohms makes em work harder. A few amps out there for 200-250 bucks that'd work, but for 300 bucks I don't see anything that's worth a hoot for 2 12's and an amp to power them. But that's just me, and im sure someone else will have other words to add

For 300 bucks I don't think your going to get what your looking for. Maybe 300 bucks per component?

I would say $300 would be pretty tough to find a good amp AND subs. I would looked used then if you want to spend this. I would say a good amp alone costs $200-$250 minimum?? Speakers would be another $200-$250 and up. Maybe around $400-$500 you could get something good.

If that is all you got to spend though look used. There are deals out there, maybe look through the classified section on here and see what is out there or post in there what you want and someone might have some laying around?? Or ebay?

You can find some good deals in the classified sections of car audio forums...check this one out --> Dead Link Removed (Scroll to the bottom) Most of these guys are cool, and you see some great deals poping up every once and a while...

I put 2 12" kicker compvr subs, and a pioneer 760 watt amp, that will run you about 450 new, not installed. i love my subs and everybody wants to buy them off me. i would go with the kickers, but a bigger amp. im upgrading to the rockford 801.

your best bet for 2 12"s and an amp for $300?

2 MTX 4000's - on sale everywhere (new model coming out soon) good sub for the cash )$50 each @ soundsomain.com
MTX Thunder4250D - onsale at soundsomain.com for $210.

Take a look @ the UU Acustics USX-600D, its a D class (sucks less power) and puts out 375W @ 2ohms, you can find them for 160 @ www.thezeb.com

go to carsteroexpo.com and try that ..

2-12" Ma audio XE subwoofers-- $110 off ebay
1- ma audio HK 1997-- ~$220 anywhere

I got 4-12" XE's from the same guy on ebay thats selling the pairs, and they came perfect, new!!

Look on Ebay they have great deals there. $300 isnt enough. I would narrow it down to a few subs or amps you want and just save. Trust me dont make the mistake of justing WANTING something right away and wind up wasting your money. Just save and get what you know is good and what you want.

Those 1000W Crunch amps dont put out 1000watts. But they are a step up from Legacy, Pyle, etc, etc. In any case look @ other brands...

When I first started with audio I had 2 10" Jensens, and a 600W Crunch, it was alright but just wasn't loud enough. Your subs matter, but the amp makes all the difference. 600W Crunch probably doesn't deliver 600W, you should look into a more trusted company with higher quality stuff like RF, Kenwood, Phoenix Gold (if you wanna spend tons), etc.

MTX Thunder 81000D? People seem to like that amp and its power rating for 14.4V @ 2ohms is 1500watts, thats a pretty large amount of power!
