throttle body spacer concerns on 99 4.0L SOHC

i put an Airaid throttle body spacer on my '99 XLT 4.0L SOHC a while back and ever since then ive had all sorts of idle and temp problems which include: ECT out of position(thats what the scanner said), TPS out of position, possible MAF contamination or IAC module malfunction, and its definetly running lean. what gives? is it all coinsidence? or is a spacer just bad news? any input would be greatly appreciated

I would take it off, and return it if possible. It may or may not be causing your problems, but it won't do anything to help your performace.

Years back, I evaluated a TB Spacer ( same brand as yours ).

Even though I saw no RWHP gains on the dyno, I( never experienced any problems.

thanks techie ill try that. i don't think i kept the box tho. aldive i seem to always run into you or your posts when im looking for help with my '99, do you think i could have screwed anything up when i put on the spacer, cus after i put it on theres been a whole mess of idle/lean codes and problems.
is it just coinsidence or is a TBS just a problem causing gimmick?

also you wouldn't happen to know a Nancy or Wally Ervin would you? cus they go to Sarasota for the winter. probobly not. just thought id ask

It sounds like a connector or three didn't get reconnected when the intake was reinstalled. Check the connectors on the afore-mentioned components. That's where I'd start.

Add the TBS then reset your PCM. That is why everything is failing your PCM expects to do the same as before the TBS and if you already did that then I'll just be quiet as you return it
