Throttle body spacer

I'm having the hardest time finding a throttle body spacer for my '97 5.0 explorer. Closest i've come is the Fram Airraid system for a '98 5.0, but the customer service representative couldnt tell me what the difference may be, considered it may have something to do with the throttle linkage. I have a late model '97, but I dont know if it's possible to adapt it to fit mine. Any help would be appreciated.

Run a search for "throttle body spacer" and then tell me you still want one...

They're worthless. We have dyno runs proving it.

I don't know what the specs might be alone, but i have an intake on it, and i am hooking up a true dual exhaust with some high flow cats and 2 40 series flowmasters this weekend. I also just ordered the superchips micro tuner. Thought a throttle body spacer would make a nice addition.

i have a feeling your going to be please with all of these additions. intake and exhaust are key points of gained hp, and the tuner... jeez, im jealous.. if only i werent a poor college kid :-D

Well, the exhaust ive saved up to buy for about 4 months now...the tuner im getting for my birthday. I'll make sure i post to say how well this all worked out. I'm almost done putting all the suede in the interior, sound system is rounded off now. I'm getting her to the point that i want.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm. I like suede.

I believe the dyno conducted was on a vehicle with all the bolt-on mods. Just run a search. You'll find huge discussions on the subject.

I bought a Powerdyne throttle body spacer for my 2000 Mountaineer, and it didn't fit. I should have listened when it said it was for a 1998. The throttle cable bracket doesn't line up correctly after the spacer is put on. I'm sure I could make it work, but I didn't like how the bracket was touching the coil pack wires. The gaskets that were included with it are useless, the diameter of the opening is smaller than the spacer, rendering the "fins" inside the spacer useless. IMO don't waste your money.

Cool, insight is golden. I dont want to have to try and alter a fitting if the results are minimal or non existant anyways. I really appreciate the information.
