Throttle body spacers

a buddy of mine put one on his 03 ex ,which is the same engine/year etc as my trac and he swears it improved mid range power and mpg.

what are everyones opinions on this? he also claimed it was an easy bolt on . yes or no?

Easy to bolt on-yes. I've only ever used spacers on Carb's, they help cool the air/feul mixture but on a T.B. I honestly don't see the need for it. My buddy put one on his '92 Chevy 3/4 ton with a T.B. (which you'd think it would help because the T.B. sits on top of the intake) and he lost bottom end torque and the air/fuel mixture was off causing it to lean out. I'd read all the reviews on the product and see which of those are used on our engines before I spent the money. i figured about as much,they basically claim all the things that the zabteck throttle bodies claim but i had my doubts

Are the I don't have a tb spacer, BUT i did put zip ties on me tb cable at the gas pedal. Which basically does the same as a tb spacer for like 2% of the cost. I have a gen 1 ex. Here is a vid of the zip tie mod. It really helped my gen 1 in terms of power.
