The accelerator pedal on my truck is difficult to press and feels "gritty" in motion if that makes sense. I was curious if there's a way to lube the throttle cable or if it has to be replaced?

Is that actually cable or "drive by wire"?
If it is actually the cable that is causing the "roughness", it could be dirt or just need lube, however most likely it could possibly be coming apart at the strands, and these strands catch the inside of the cable sheath and cause the friction you feel, so that means it is eventually going to break on you, or possible stick in one spot and not move anymore (dangerous), might just want to opt for a new or good used replacement.

Yeah its a cable actuated one. I'll look at the condition of it. If condition is good if anyone has any lube tips I'd appreciate it.

Lube the cable(s) with lithium spray and wipe excess. If you're experiencing a "sticky" pedal remove the hose and clean the throttle body with specific cleaner. Concentrate where the throttle body blade meets the bore. Factory torque spec is 80 INCH/lbs. (6-7 foot lbs.) NOT 18 foot pounds specified in the otherwise good video. Very easy to strip or fracture the plastic intake. Unless carbon buildup is really caked on, use a firm bristled NYLON toothbrush instead of a metal brush to clean.
