My throttle cable feels real tight - difficult to move off smoothly sometimes. I've no idea if the inner cable is actually frayed but I'm not taking a chance on jamming the throttle open, so it's a replacement job. I just wondered if this is a common problem with the Explorer? Only other cable problem I ever had was with a Volvo 480 (!) which snapped clutch cables on a regular basis.
