thum/squeak noise coming from the front

04 xlt 4wd
have this thum/squeak noise coming from the front ONLY WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS. it drives me nuts
can't tel it it is left or right side.
will replacing the sturts fix it or could it be something else?

Check for worn out front stabilizer bar bushings. These things are commonly making noise on the '02-'05 Explorers. I actually removed mine, cleaned, greased and reinstalled them. They are still quiet
