Hello all, so after getting $5 of questionable gas (ghetto store) on a nearly empty tank, on Halloween night, I drove ~5 miles, got home around 5 am. Around noon I started it, stalled out, after a couple tries it will start, rev to about 2k, then die out and shakes, then rev to 2k, repeats until stalling. Drigas, more gas, fuel injector cleaner made it a tiny tiny tiny bit better, new fuel filter and now it'll idle almost normally after trying it like 7 times. If you hit the gas at all, no matter how slow or fast it dies out. I tested the spark plugs, all good (i did new plugs and wires over the summer), the fuel relay and fuse are working, the pump does prime then shuts off with the key to ON. Not the inertia switch either.
Hopefully getting a fuel pressure gauge tomorrow, but opening the Schrader valve did spray out gas. There is also vacuum pressure at the regulator by the Schrader valve. I'm assuming its the fuel pump dying, and I'll have to pull off the bed and check the wiring and connections.
Maybe the very low fuel level sucked rust or whatever into the old filter, then I blew the pump? Or did some idiot put sugar or something in my tank? I checked for residue in the cap, nothing. When it revs up it is running perfectly smooth.
Is there something else it could be? Oh, and the PCM relay is good too.
