Hey everyone, Im pretty new to ordering tires, and i tried to read through old posts and find what im looking for, but its a bit confusing.

basically i want to get a beefier set of snow tires for this winter.
I have no lift, and its a 2006 explorer. and they will be going on my stock rims

Id like them to be decently big, and even stick out for a wider stance if i can.

So any recomendations for brand and SIZE would be awesome. thanks guys!

Conside these:
Blizzak from Bridgetone
Arctic Alpin from Michelin

Of course I have no idea if the size you need is available but those are two snow tires that I know of. In my opinion, "All Terrains" and "Mud Terrains" don't have enough "sipping" to make them effective at any speeds faster than say 10 mph. But first you should tell us where you are located :)

I am located in wisconsin, so we get quite a bit of snow, and i need to be able to get to the ski hill and back. So there is some drive time.
